So take heart everyone. This is where we are right now. Kicking and screaming and resisting the agent of change that is showing up. Did we think it could be any different? We have arrived at the place where the ruthless taskmaster of change does not really care about our personal comfort. Change is happening whether you like it or not. So the challenge and the lesson is how you will get with the program and embrace it instead of resisting it. In whatever way it shows up, there is always a way to be proactive with change, to embrace and support and move it along. That is what taking responsibility for your own leadership is all about…
This month is all about helping yourself first. If you don’t have compassion and kindness for yourself, you cannot possibly practice it for others. So start with yourself this month. Review all the ways you have judged yourself for not being good enough, smart enough, known better, ineffective, not successful enough, not strong enough, not brave enough, not powerful enough, not perfect enough, not useful enough, the list goes on and on.
How have you judged yourself for not showing up, for feeing fearful, for missing opportunities, for not getting your life together, for staying in bad situations for too long, for being weak, for being indecisive, for not setting good boundaries, for not protecting yourself or putting yourself first?
This lack of compassion and kindness for yourself will keep you mired in this lower vibration especially if it includes blame, anger and resentment. This is the month to turn all of this around. There is much work to do on the self. It is easy to be distracted with “what is going on out there” in terms of injustice, negative behaviors and bad choices. You cannot do anything about that. You cannot change what is “going on out there” but you can change what is going on in your own home and your own life.
This is the month for forgiveness–big letting go, the final completion, the cutting it loose!
Forgiveness is a big piece we are working with in November 2016 and in the months to come. The actual definition of forgiveness is to give way so something can be free to move forward.
Without forgiveness there is no moving forward. To the extent that you are not able to forgive yourself or others for what “they have done to you”, “you have done to yourself, or, ”you have done to others”, you are holding yourself and others hostage and no one is free to move forward. We are in a time of tremendous potential for movement forward and the raising of consciousness but if we cannot forgive, we go nowhere.
We have been through several months of ups and downs, emotional extremes, fits and starts, breakthroughs and changes, despairs and elations, successes and failures. We are a little road weary and slightly hyper vigilant about “keeping it all together”. So the main theme for October 2016 is balance because that is what we all desperately need at this time and the influences of the times support it.
It is a time to carve out space for assimilation and integration of what we have gone through in the past months of both conscious and subconscious changes and much personal growth.
There is an edge to this month and personal boundaries will be tested as we strive for more balance in our lives. It will be important not to over react but rather to see balance in terms of boundaries more as a dance than a hard edge. It is a great month to observe and tackle any addictive behaviors, black and white belief systems, extreme mood swings, irrational fears and attachments to anything in the past.
We have an opportunity to start a new chapter this month launched by a beautiful new moon on September 30. This new chapter needs to have us looking forward not back. RELATIONSHIP is another theme for this month and works with BALANCE by inviting us to bring everything that is out of balance into right relationship.
At CNBC’s Delivering Alpha Investors Conference this week, the founder of the $27-billion Elliott Management Fund, the 17th largest hedge fund in the world, mentioned that at current prices gold is “undervalued” and “underrepresented in many portfolios as the only … store of value that has stood the test of time.”
Singer, along with numerous other hedge-fund managers, has been increasingly outspoken in his criticism of the Federal Reserve and other central banks for creating dangers in the market unlike any in what he terms the “5,000 year-ish” history of finance. Singer noted that “it’s a very dangerous time in the global economy and global financial markets.”
This quote is frighteningly similar to the response given by Donald Trump on Fox Business not long ago when he was asked if he had money in the market. He answered, “I did, but I got out,” and then went on to say that he expected “very scary scenarios” for investors.
September 2016–It is a month of “getting your ducks in a row”, finishing projects, handling details, finally getting to what you have procrastinated, and making choices about what stays and what goes.
There are a couple of subthemes and important influences we will be working with this month that are a necessary part of “taking care of business”. One is PROCRASTINATION. You know who you are, those of you who make a habit of procrastinating. Whatever the reasons behind your procrastination, it is time to “DO IT NOW” or eliminate it from your life completely. We advise making a sign of “DO IT NOW” and posting it somewhere where you are sure to see it all the time.
Because taking care of business this month includes tasks that you are way behind on, procrastination will be an influence to deal with. Procrastination holds a lot of energy. Whenever you procrastinate you spend way more energy worrying about, planning for and feeling bad, than the thing itself would take to do. People procrastinate for several reasons…
If you’ve been reading the monthly commentaries for a while, you’ll know that they serve to help you build your personal power. Each month we have opportunities to bid for more power. While the underlying theme is always about empowering yourself, each month has a different flavor…a different theme.
The main theme for August is building your inner power through COLLABORATION.
The time for going about it alone is over. We are fully entering the cycle of relationship orientation, and if we are to survive and accomplish what we are here to do, we need to collaborate not only with others but ourselves as well. How often do we sabotage ourselves when the heart wants to proceed but the mind has other ideas? Or when the mind has an idea but the heart is frozen in fear? Or when the body simply refuses to cooperate?
This is perhaps the place to start, the collaboration between all of your complex personal aspects: personality, body, mind, heart and spirit.
Here’s a great post about natural & easy ways to detox your body. I can’t write enough about body cleanses because increasing environmental toxins affect us all. I am sure you can start using at least one of these tips today!
What exactly is a detox?
Simply put, a detox is a process in which a person makes lifestyle changes to clear their body of toxins. These lifestyle changes typically involve abstaining from certain harmful things and optimizing body processes. Some changes are temporary, such as a following a cleansing diet, others are permanent.
Toxins are any substance that can be poisonous or cause negative health effects. “Toxin” refers to all the metals, chemicals, pollutants, artificial food ingredients, pesticides, and poisons that cause the body harm. “Toxin” is a very broad term and it’s even, unfortunately, become a bit of a buzzword to some. Artificially created chemicals can be toxins, but naturally occurring substances can be toxic, too. Arsenic is a natural toxin. Technically, so is cobra venom (though you’re less likely to find this contaminating your town’s water supply).
We are in constant contact with harmful organisms and pollutants. They’re in our water, in our food, in the air we breathe… it’s very difficult to get away from them. The source of many health issues is the toxins that have built up in our bodies over the years…
Under intense lobbying by Monsanto (and with the support of Whole Foods and other food traitors), the US Senate passed the dreaded GMO “anti-labeling” law that outlaws GMO labeling nationwide.
The theme for July is TRANSFORMATION.
July is a 2 Act Play. In the first act, the first two weeks, you are likely to get a tour of your emotions, fears and all the attachments that are in the way of this transformation. The second act begins on the 16th and brings love, compassion and a higher emotional centered energy to everything, anchoring this TRANSFORMATION through beauty and love.
We could also say that this month is all about love; transforming fear into power through love, transforming doubt into confidence through love, transforming old emotional wounds into great wisdom through love. It is an opportunity for us all to learn our lessons through the tough love of spirit and to finally begin to love and cherish ourselves deeply and unconditionally…
